Singaporean not concern with identity theft.

Are most Singaporean too complacent that they think nothing of revealing their personal information (even online, see attachment #1) ?
I thought most Singaporean are “Kiasi” (怕死).
Apparently not.

Even Singapore company (eg. SMRT) did it by revealing Singaporean NRIC number (Partially) in the public newspaper (See attachment #2, 3).
Don’t they know that identify thief can use the IC number verification algorithm to check the possible IC number combinations (See attachment #4) ?

Once they get the IC number, they can print it into bar-code and go to the National Library to borrow books without returning.
